about gemma
Gemma is a space holder, sound healer, yoga guide and holistic therapist based in London.
The tender weaving of yoga was gifted in many different ways from her early childhood; the first mala, exploring meditation, how to nourish the physical body using a delicate scattering of herbs and spices, all connected and fed the love of the practices that inspire her teachings and offerings today.
Since before she can remember, Gemma had conversations with the plants that flourished within her mothers garden. She collected fragrant heads of lavender, astringent spikes of rosemary and gently crushed them between loving fingers to release their potent oils. Her hands perfumed with these gifts from the Earth, she would mimic her father and intuitively place her hands on the spaces of accumulated tension that crept into the tissues of her loved ones shoulders.
The stories, memories and continued lived-in moments have shaped the pathway for Gemma to share her gift of massage, sound therapy and yoga practices. Laced with deeply embedded ancestral knowledge of the Earth and ancient wisdom passed through generations, her offerings are shared with a rich respect and gratitude to all who have paved the way before her.
I created gemma felix wellness almost 20 years ago, starting with just my hands, a few precious amber-coloured bottles of essential oils and a heart full of hope.
From the beginning, my desire was to create space for people to be held and supported. Knowing how powerful massage therapy, herbs and meditation can be on the body and mind, I wanted to share this power with others. I began with a few hands on intuitively shared holistic therapies.
My journey has expanded through my lifelong and ever-deepening path into Yoga, which I now share in studios across London. Interwoven with sacred essential oils, and the raw power of sound healing; using Tibetan singing bowls, my Yoga offerings draw together all aspects of my work to create profoundly nourishing and supportive spaces, inviting those who attend to drop into themselves and be, simply as they are.
